I ordered this for a formal gala and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The lace detail is really pretty in person, and the off-the-shoulder look is classy. It needed a little hemming at the bottom, but otherwise, it was perfect.

The issue for me was just the sizing in the bust area. It was a little tighter up top than the measurements suggested, so I had to wear a minimizer bra to make it work. Once I got everything situated, though, it looked great in photos. It’s a good dress, just maybe size up if you are busty and plan on eating a big meal

I wore this for a fancy anniversary dinner cruise and felt like a million bucks. The trumpet style really gives you an hourglass shape even if you don't naturally have one. I was worried the off-the-shoulder part would keep sliding down or be annoying to adjust, but it actually stayed in place really well while we were dancing. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that the material doesn't breathe very well.

I love the off-the-shoulder look, it makes me feel really elegant. However, I will say the zipper was a little sticky at first, so just be gentle with it. It’s also definitely a sit-down-and-be-pretty kind of dress because the mermaid cut is a bit snug around the knees when you walk fast. But everyone kept complimenting me all night, so I guess the struggle was worth it!
